As many may know Tuesday was my birthday.  I spent the day shopping for a dress to wear to dinner.  That evening, the fam and I went to a lovely restaurant on the water and had a lovely dinner...That night the flu struck...it wasn't pretty.  I spent the next 36 hours tending to the ill.  There was puke everywhere, no sleep for me, doctors appointments, and so on.  Thursday night I went to bed.  At 1 am I woke up to that clammy sweat we all know so well.  With my stomach churning, I made my way to the toilet and proceeded to vomit.  With very few breaks in the routine (I won't get too graphic), this sequence of events repeated for the next 6 hours.  I could see the sunrise and knew it  was time to get up.  Unfortunately, between the vomiting and raging fever,  I was very weak.  I have never been so violently ill in at least 20 years.  I ended up back in bed for the rest of the day, sleeping, sweating, etc.  In the afternoon I went outside to smoke, I started to feel dizzy and could tell I was about to faint.  I finally regained consciousness and was told I had a seizure.  WTF?  IDK what happened, but I went back to bed.  It was later Friday evening that I was finally able to keep down some bland soup and water.  I am still very foggy, weak, and sore.  I hope to post a better, more "uplifting" post soon. 

Updates AND BIRTHDAY...

This past week has been very overwhelming and only marginally productive.  Where to start???

Last week

Some updates and such
